Starting small in a new market
Our first step into UK property did not have to be large or complicated. Through our British Ltd, we first wanted to learn how acquisition, financing, letting and local management work in practice.
That is why we chose something manageable in Stafford: a modern one-bedroom apartment with limited maintenance and a layout that simply works well for a tenant. It is not a refurbishment project or a complex structure, but a home that is readily lettable and manageable from the outset.
Location as an advantage, not a dependency
Its position close to the station makes the apartment attractive to someone living in Stafford who travels regularly by train for work or personal reasons. We see further improvements to north-south connections as a potential long-term benefit, not something the investment depends on.
Management close at hand
We outsource day-to-day management locally. Especially with a first investment in a new country, it matters to us that someone nearby knows the market, tenants and practical rules.
For us, this is knowledge before investment: first take a manageable step, build experience and only then decide where to grow further.
